Yes, that bad joke of a headline is meant to convey the fact that the iron token has been voted out of the Monopoly board game. There’ll be no more “I AM IRON MAN” jokes around the gaming table (at least, none based on the choice of token) as the icon of smoothing fabric has been replaced by the cat.
So for safety’s sake, keep your Monopoly sets away from any copies of Mousetrap you might have in your games closet.
I’m betting the iron got voted out because nobody under thirty knew what the heck it was.
