Disney is trying out some new hand-drawn/CGI animation techniques for this Oscar-nominated short entitled Paperman. It’s also unstoppably charming, so here it is:

Thank you for sharing that. It has such a Spirited Away feel to it, with a large touch of what made Little Mermaid so appealing. And innocently romantic. I can’t wait to share that with the husband.
I rather loved Paperman when I saw it in theatres in front of Wreck-It Ralph. They did an amazing job of it and it didn’t need any words to convey what they were trying to do.
They need to do more like that.
Reminds me a bit of The Red Balloon towards the end (and there might have been a hat tip to it on the train).
This felt like the end of Harry Tuttle in Brazil.
